McKinney Hardwood Lumber offers Curly and Quilted Western Big Leaf Maple in billets (average size is 8"x22"x2"). We have many very nicely figured billets that will work well for tops/backs for electric and backs for acoustic guitars.

  We also offer billets that due to many factors, did not make the finest grades. These factors can be unsuitable size, off color, figure not consistent from one face to another, small pin holes, bark inclusions, burl inclusions, etc. These defects are generally so small that they are of no consequence to a woodworker, but are not the pinnacle of perfection that a luthier demands for his or her project.
